Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to release in theaters on December 18, 2026. A year ahead of its release, the makers have unveiled the second teaser of the film, which features Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor.
Avengers: Doomsday second teaser: Thor returns to battle, seeks strength to protect his daughter
The second teaser of Avengers: Doomsday shows Thor kneeling in the middle of a forest with Stormbreaker placed on his forehead. As his temple touches the mighty weapon, he asks the All-Father to give him the strength to return once again to his daughter for the upcoming battle inspired by a greater purpose.

As the teaser begins, Thor calls out to his father, Odin, and prays, “Father… Throughout my life, I have answered every call to honor the duty of war. But now, fate has given me what I never wanted: a child, a life untouched by storms. Give me the strength of the All-Fathers so that I may once again fight, defeat another foe, and not as a warrior, but as a warm-hearted To return home with him. Teach him peace, the kind I never knew. Please, father, heed my words.”
Before Doomsday, Chris Hemsworth was last seen as the lead character in Thor: Love and Thunder. Additionally, his real-life daughter, India Rose Hemsworth, will once again reprise her role as Love.
Earlier, the MCU released the first teaser for Doomsday, which featured Chris Evans returning to the cinematic universe as Steve Rogers aka Captain America.

Avengers: Doomsday is an upcoming superhero film based on Marvel Comics. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film will serve as the 39th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film takes place 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts*. With the emergence of a powerful new threat in the form of Doctor Doom, teams including the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the “original” X-Men must come together to confront him once and for all.
Along with Robert Downey Jr. playing the role of Doctor Victor Von Doom, the film will also see a number of actors including Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright and Paul Rudd reprising their previous roles.
