The much-awaited film Auryon Mein Kahaan Dum Tha is just a few days away from release as it will hit the silver screens on July 5, 2024. The power-packed duo Ajay Devgn and Tabu are working together again and promise to entertain their audiences once again. Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai Manjrekar are notable additions to the cast who play the younger versions of Ajay and Tabu’s characters.
AMKDT director Neeraj Pandey has now revealed that he did not want to make Ajay and Tabu’s characters 21 years old and also talked about the reason behind his choice.
Neeraj Pandey’s opinion on showing Ajay and Tabu’s characters younger in ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’
In a recent interview with News18, Neeraj Pandey said that he has used de-ageing through VFX only when the story required it. According to him, the overuse of de-ageing has reached such an extent that it has almost reached the level of technical abuse. The Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha director said, “For this particular story, you can’t make Ajay and Tabu’s characters 21 years old. It will look ridiculous!”
Talking about Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai Manjrekar playing the childhood characters of Ajay Devgn and Tabu, Neeraj further explained that they were quite clear from the beginning about using a pair of two different actors to represent the two age groups. According to him, this is what suits the story and makes it beautiful. He said that after the age of 24, people undergo physical changes.

Presented by NH Studios, Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha is a Friday Filmworks production. Produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), Sangeeta Ahir and Shital Bhatia, the film will hit the theatres on July 5.
It is a romantic thriller and revolves around characters named Krishna and Vasudha. They love each other but are separated by 22 years. Some soothing songs from the music album have been released including Tu and Ae Dil Zara.
