KL Rahul, the star batter of Delhi Capital, shared that he chose the name “Iwara” for his daughter and saw its meaning online after it. However, he admitted that his wife, actress Athiya Shetty needed some persuasion before being on board with her newborn baby.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul celebrated a special moment on their birthday last month when they posted the first picture of their baby girl. In March, Athiya Shetty shared a hearty post on Instagram to announce her daughter’s arrival. Now, KL Rahul has opened about why he chose Ivara’s name for his younger one.
KL Rahul shared that he had come to the name of Iwara by chance. She mentioned that she was sent by close friends through some name books, before she decides the name Google and examining its meaning.
Rahul expressed that he was immediately ready for the name and although it took some time to convince Athiya, both his parents loved it. Eventually, Athiya also became fond of name.
Athiya and Rahul got married on 23 January 2023 at a private ceremony at Sunil Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandla. The Bollywood actress also shared her views about her daughter, Ivara in a linkedIn post.
“Recently becoming a grandfather is a feeling that I cannot even describe. It is a pleasure that is pure and untouched that can give or take to the world. I have tried to manufacture decades and make business, make films and make something meaningful,” Sunie Shetty expressed my pleasure after becoming a grandfather.
In a previous interview with Cosmopolitan, Athiya opened his relationship with Rahul, which mentioned that he has very different personalities, which he believes that helps balance his relationship.
However, he said that his equal value systems are those that initially bring them together. She shared that there are times when she feels a certain way, but lacks energy to express it, and Rahul easily understands what she is doing, which she really finds special.
