Asif Sheikh praises Dhurandhar for showcasing the talent of television actors
Aasif Shaikh feels Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ (2025) will open more doors for television actors. He praised the acting of Saumya Tandon, Rakesh Bedi and Gaurav Gera in the film.
Actor Aasif Shaikh has said that this is a spy-thriller from director Aditya Dhar. stalwart Has opened doors for television actors. Praising the film’s supporting cast, Gaurav Gera, Rakesh Bedi and his Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain co-star Saumya Tandon, Asif called the film a “huge success” for television actors.
The actor, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan Said for his YouTube channel, “But a huge breakthrough has happened in this huge hit. You see how many TV actors are there in it, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and Saumya Tandon are TV actors. All different characters, this is a good opening for TV actors, I believe everyone has done a good job successfully. Earlier there was a barrier that you are a TV actor, till today in OTT people say that you are a TV actor. (Dhurandhar becoming a hit has been a huge success. If you see, there are a lot of TV actors in it. Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and Saumya Tandon are all television actors. They all have different characters. This is a good start for TV actors. In stalwartRanveer Singh plays the role of undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari. The film also brings together a formidable cast: R Madhavan as Indian spy master Ajay Sanyal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, Akshaye Khanna as real-life gangster Rehman Dacoit, and Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, who is inspired by terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri.
Actress Sara Arjun is also debuting with Ranveer in this film. Actors Rakesh Bedi, Manav Gohil, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, Raj Zutshi, Saumya Tandon and others are in lead roles.
