Actor Arshad Warsi Kalki landed in controversy after his ‘Joker’ comment about Prabhas’ character in 2898 AD, following which fans reacted strongly. Addressing the controversy, Warsi has finally broken his silence, admitting that the criticism no longer bothers him, saying, “It doesn’t bother me anymore.” In his usual light-hearted manner, he laughingly said that he would love every actor for the rest of his life.

In a recent interview with India Today, Arshad Warsi shared that this was the first time he felt that he was facing criticism. He acknowledged that negativity can affect positive individuals, noting that in a democratic society everyone has the right to their own opinion, he has reached a point where such criticism no longer impacts him.

“However, we have lived in a place where stones are thrown, so now it doesn’t bother me,” he said.

In the wake of the controversy, some people noticed that the Banda Singh Chaudhary actor had disabled comments on his social media account. When asked about this, he humorously admitted that he did not know how to do it.

He also explained whether the incident had made him more cautious about his public comments, expressing his new attitude towards film appreciation. In a light-hearted tone, he said, “I have decided that I will like every film I watch. I will like every actor for the rest of my life.”

Arshad Warsi also said that some people speculated that he created the controversy to promote his upcoming film. He explained that although it is not uncommon for individuals to fabricate controversies for content creation, he was not aware of his film’s release schedule when the incident occurred. Emphasizing the unpredictability of such situations, he remarked that one can never plan for controversies or their outcomes.

In August, during a conversation with Samdish Bhatia on his podcast, the actor was asked to identify the last disappointing film he watched. He mentioned Kalki 2898 AD and expressed disappointment over Prabhas’ portrayal, comparing him to a clown.

Arshad elaborated on his thoughts, saying that he desired a more intense performance reminiscent of Mel Gibson in Mad Max. He expressed his confusion about the film’s direction, questioning why such creative choices were made.

Following his comment, several personalities from the Telugu film industry including actors Nani and Sudheer Babu along with director Ajay Bhupathi criticized Arshad Warsi for his choice of words. He suggested that he could have expressed his opinion more thoughtfully.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arshad Warsi is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming performance in Jolly LLB 3. She is also set to appear in Banda Singh Chaudhary produced by Arbaaz Khan and starring Mehr Vij.
