Actor Arjun Rampal has quietly put a ring on it, and in true Rampal style. The actor confirmed his engagement to his longtime partner Gabriella Demetriades during a conversation on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, where talk of marriage naturally led to bigger revelations. No grand announcement, no planned moment, just an intimate confession that instantly captured the internet’s attention.
The engagement moment, which was glimpsed in the podcast trailer, came with the caption, “Congratulations to the coolest couple in town @gabriellademetriades @rampal72 (sic).” Gabriella can be heard talking about love saying, “Love comes with conditions. If the person behaves a certain way, he gets my approval or love. But when you have a child, you can’t do that, right?”
“It’s not like I’m going after him because he’s really attractive, or I hope he wouldn’t say that about me,” she said. Rampal quipped, “I chased her because she was hot. Then I realized there was something more to her than just hotness.”
In the clip, Gabriella says, ‘We are not married yet, but who knows?’ Chakraborty immediately responded with surprise, saying, “We’re engaged.”

Since 2018, Rampal and Demetriades have steadily built a life rooted in companionship and family, with two children together.
South African model and fashion designer Demetriades has often spoken about motherhood as well as creative ambitions. The couple are the parents of two sons – Arik, born in 2019, and Aarav, born in 2023 – and are often seen stepping out together as a close-knit family.
Before his relationship with Demetriades, Rampal was married to former supermodel and entrepreneur Mehr Jesia. The two married in 1998 and were long considered one of the most influential couples in the fashion and film worlds. They have two daughters, Mahika and Myra.
Rampal and Jessia announced their separation in 2018, citing the decision as mutual and driven by respect. Their divorce was finalized in 2019, after which Rampal has consistently stated that they will continue to co-parent their daughters amicably.
