Arjun Kapoor is one of the few Bollywood actors who has been vocal about his personal or mental health struggles. Recently, the actor discussed his deep relationship with his sisters, especially Janhvi Kapoor, who he believes is wise beyond her years. The actor also revealed that his sisters are filling the void left in his life after the demise of his mother Mona Shourie.
In a new interview with Raj Shamani, Arjun Kapoor revealed that he, his sister Anshula Kapoor and other half-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor share an amazing bond. She mentioned that her relationship with her step-sisters evolved after the demise of their mother Sridevi in 2018.
The actor revealed that he could understand them during that tragic time as he had gone through a similar experience of losing his mother a few years ago. Kapoor told that an emotional bond has gradually formed between all of them.
He said, “We were at our lowest… Anshula and I had experienced something, then Janhvi and Khushi were going through something we wouldn’t wish on our worst enemies, which happened in our home. That’s why we started insecure.”
For those unaware, Arjun and Anshula are the children of Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Kapoor. After his parents separated, his father remarried actress Sridevi. Later, Arjun’s mother Mona passed away in 2012 after battling cancer and Arjun admitted that it was a big loss that left a void in his life. However, now her sisters including Janhvi Kapoor are helping to fill it.
“I feel most at home with my sisters. With Janhvi, I have talked about things that I would never even admit to myself. She is intelligent and understanding. Anshula has also been my biggest support. Even when I don’t talk.” She sits with me, and I naturally open up,” he shared.
The Ishaqzaade actor admitted that even though he didn’t get the wonderful opportunity of having his mother with him for a long time, he is still happy to have his sisters. They can be someone he can be vulnerable with, and he also said that interacting with his sisters works for him. As a result, they all bring about serious changes in his life.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen playing the villain in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and others. He will next be seen in No Entry 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh.
