Whenever Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh meet, they make the house happy with their funny banter and infectious laughter. Although their friendship is now one for the books, they were not so strong when the actors worked together in Gunday. During an interview, Kapoor revealed that they now send memes to each other and share a lovely bond that goes beyond their profession.
During a recent interaction with Mashable India, Arjun Kapoor admitted that he knew about Ranveer Singh during Gunday but he had no relationship with him. According to him, their real relationship started during the film itself, which the audience sees even today.
Arjun said that their bond has become stronger because they have been very honest with each other as friends. “It’s not that we just talked about work, we talked about life and we spent a lot of time together during the filming,” the Singham Again actor said. He said that both of them have seen a lot of ups and downs and have talked to each other. All those moments that no one else knows about.
During the chat they also admitted that today they send memes and silly things to each other on social media. When Kapoor was asked what was the last meme he sent his new father, he said it would be something related to football.
Furthermore, Arjun said that the audience has seen his fun side and celebration of brotherhood and friendship. But there have also been very deep conversations between them, be it profession or personal life. “I think that’s what stands the test of time,” he said, adding that all the banter comes from a deep foundation of respect for each other.
Expressing his deep love for Singh, Kapoor said that Ranveer is the first person who reaches out to him. It’s all because of their bond that they can ‘fuck’ together and everyone enjoys it. “We are not trying to outdo each other, shine or attract attention. We celebrate what we have,” the Ishaqzaade newcomer admits, adding that their friendship has something in common that goes beyond their profession and it’s wonderful every now and then.
