Ariana Grande tells Ethan Slater, ‘This boy is mine’! The Positions singer doesn’t shy away from talking openly about her boyfriend on Instagram. On December 18, Slater posted a carousel of photos of himself in the black and white aesthetic from Shawn! Magazine shoot.

The Wicked actress reacted to his stylish photos, saying, “Today’s Buster Keaton!” she commented beneath his post, referencing the famous comedian known for his work in silent films. She posted a series of comments with exclamation marks and hearts.

The photoshoot features Slater posing near a wooden staircase with some old wooden boxes and a white background. He wore a dark button-up shirt with dark pants and completed his look with a plaid blazer and a long, dark trench coat.

The couple met while shooting their film, the latest blockbuster Wicked in which Grande played Glinda and Slater played Bok. In July 2023, People magazine confirmed their relationship shortly after Dalton Gomez and Lily Jay separated from their respective partners.

In November, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight during Wicked’s Los Angeles press tour, Grande said she was happy that Slater was getting the recognition he deserves. “He’s always adorable, and he’s so wonderful in this movie, he’s such a wonderful person,” she said at the time.

“I’m so happy that people are getting to know her. My heart is so happy,” Grande said. Slater said, “He’s incredible in this movie and then I’m so grateful to be able to be a part of the celebration of it.”

The 2024 film adaptation of his Broadway musical became a blockbuster, grossing $527 million worldwide. In addition to Grande and Slater, the film stars Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Peter Dinklage, Marisa Bode, Bowen Yang, and many others. The film also featured surprise appearances from Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, who originally played Erivo’s role as Elphaba and Grande’s role as Glinda in the 2003 Broadway production.
