Should you keep Amlaprash in the fridge?

Whether you store Amlaprash in the fridge or not depends on the temperature around you. Once made, it can remain outside for two months. After that, it is best to keep it in the refrigerator, where it will remain fresh and tasty for the next 3-4 months.

How to make Amlaprash? Easy Amlaprash Recipe

It is very easy to make immunity boosting Amlaprash at home. This recipe has been shared by content creator and chef Sneha Singhi Upadhyay on Instagram. Here’s how to make it:

1. Prepare Amla

Wash 8-9 gooseberries and steam them in a steamer for 15-20 minutes or until they become soft.

2. Prepare the spices

Dry roast cinnamon, cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, fennel, black pepper and bay leaves in a pan on low flame. Let them cool and grind them to make a soft powder. Keep it aside.

3. Prepare the paste and Amla

Combine raisins, dates, ginger and basil with some water in a blender. Make a thick paste. Then, remove the seeds from the amla and once it cools down, grind it to make a smooth paste.

4. To collect

– Heat some ghee in a pan. Add gooseberry paste to it and cook for 4-5 minutes. When it starts sticking to the pan, add jaggery to it and cook for 2 minutes. Then add date paste, ground spices and saffron and cook on low flame until it dries and changes color. Garnish it with silver work and extra saffron for the final touch. enjoy!
