Rumours are rife that actress-politician Urmila Matondkar and her husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir are getting a divorce. Sources close to the couple exclusively told India Today Digital that they have indeed separated.

There is some rift going on in the marriage between Bollywood actress and politician Urmila Matondkar and her husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Rumours of their divorce are doing the rounds on social media. However, India Today Digital has exclusively learnt that the two have separated. Moreover, sources claim that Urmila wants to divorce Mohsin and return to films.
India Today Digital contacted Urmila and Mohsin regarding the divorce. However, they did not respond till the time of publishing this news.
A source told us, “Urmila wants a divorce from Mohsin and wants to focus on her work. She wants to make a comeback in films. However, the two have been living separately for quite some time now.”
Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar Mir met through their common friend and designer Manish Malhotra. The two got married in 2016. It looks like their eight-year-old marriage is now on the verge of breaking.
While Urmila is a famous Bollywood actress, Mohsin is a Kashmiri businessman and model. Their wedding took place at their home in Mumbai, with only family members and a few friends attending. Manish Maltora was also one of the friends who attended the wedding. Their age difference of 10 years was a topic of discussion at that time. While Urmila is 50 years old, Mohsin is 40 years old.
After this, Urmila entered politics in 2019 and joined the Indian National Congress. In 2020, she joined Shiv Sena.
Talking about work, Urmila was last seen in the 2018 film Blackmail, in which she appeared in the song Bewafa Beauty. She also worked as a judge in a children’s dance reality show aired on television.
