Arasan starring Silambarasan TR in the lead role is currently in the works, with the makers announcing that they have started the second schedule. The official update was shared by producer Kalaipuli S Thanu through his social media handle.

The producer shared the update on social media saying, “Arasana Entering its second shooting schedule.” In the picture shared from the set, director Vetrimaaran is seen with STR, who is seen sporting a stylish and rough look in the new schedule.

Arasan Vada is based on the Chennai cinematic universe and serves as a spin-off of the Dhanush starrer. with vijay sethupathi The film stars Yogalakshmi and Chaitra J. in co-lead roles. Achar also features in prominent roles. Additionally, reports suggest that Priyanka Mohan may also play a role in the film.

The music in the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with the director.

Recently, Vetrimaaran revealed that Arasan would be shot sooner than his previous films, highlighting that he had already completed the writing. He also informed that the footage of the film will be released soon.

Vijay Sethupathi told The Hollywood Reporter India that Vetrimaaran had narrated five or six stories to him during the Viduthalai shoot. He said that he was familiar with Arasan’s story and script, but did not know which character he would play, and said that he was blindly trusting the director.

Silambarasan T.R She was last seen co-starring with Kamal Haasan in Thug Life. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film tells the story of the rivalry between an aging gangster and his foster son. The film, starring Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar and Mahesh Manjrekar in lead roles, received an overwhelming response from both critics and audiences.

Apart from this, Simbu is also set to collaborate with Dragon fame Ashwath Marimuthu for a fantasy action entertainer, tentatively titled STR51. Though unconfirmed, the film is rumored to star Mrunal Thakur in the co-lead role.
