AR Rahman’s reaction on Team India singing ‘Vande Mataram’ at Wankhede Stadium

AR Rahman and director Bharat Bala were overwhelmed when Team India sang ‘Vande Mataram’ along with the audience at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Team India was felicitated in Mumbai on July 4 after winning the T20 World Cup.

Oscar award-winning composer AR Rahman and director Bharat Bala expressed their happiness when Team India and its fans sang ‘Vande Mataram’ at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on July 4. Indian cricketers took out a Vijay Rath Yatra for the fans and when everyone sang ‘Vande Mataram’ together, it became an instant hit on the internet. India won the T20 World Cup against South Africa on June 29. They returned to India on July 4 and were given a rousing welcome in Delhi and Mumbai.

Sharing the video of this precious moment, AR Rahman wrote, “Vande Mataram” along with a series of emojis.

Director Bharat Bala, who worked with AR Rahman on the ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ video, shared a clip of Team India’s victory and expressed his feelings.

He wrote, “So emotional to see that a national anthem created 27 years ago continues to serve the nation even today (fire emoji) #VandeMataram #MatujheSalam.”

‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ was released as a tribute to India celebrating the golden jubilee of India’s independence. In 2022, the song completed its silver jubilee. The song was part of AR Rahman’s ‘Vande Mataram’ album.

Earlier, AR Rahman had said that he would dedicate this album to the future generations of India.
