Appointment posts suggest Apple may open new store in Hyderabad soon
Apple may soon launch a new store in Hyderabad. The iPhone-maker is currently taking applications for job roles created specifically for this new upcoming store. here are the details.

It seems that Apple is ready to expand its retail presence in India with the launch of another Apple Store, which is expected to open in Hyderabad soon. The iPhone maker, which is currently moving ahead in terms of development and simultaneous expansion, has not yet explicitly confirmed the Hyderabad store, but it has confirmed that it is hiring for the roles that will eventually run this new upcoming store. In total, there are three vacancies. These are: Store Leaders, Senior Managers and Managers. It has started accepting applications for the said roles through its official website. All roles are based out of Hyderabad, leading to speculation that a store launch is imminent.
Apple will launch, or rather open, its first physical retail store in India in 2023. In fact, it opened two back-to-back stores that year. One in Mumbai (aka Apple BKC) and the other in New Delhi (aka Apple Saket). In 2025, three more stores followed: Apple Koregaon Park (Pune), Apple Hebbal (Bengaluru), and Apple Noida (Delhi-NCR). Overall, it currently operates five stores in the country. Recently Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed the sixth store. During the company’s latest earnings call, Cook announced that Apple will soon launch its second store in Mumbai, although he did not reveal the exact timeline. The Hyderabad store, whenever it happens, will be its seventh store which is a clear indication that Apple wants to rapidly double its retail footprint which will ultimately make its products more accessible to buyers.
There’s a good reason why Apple is expanding. These stores, which are seen globally as cultural hubs where shoppers come not only to see and buy its latest products but also to talk and engage with the highly trained staff (and even among themselves), are performing well. Rather, they are performing exceptionally well. This is coming straight from Tim Cook, who says, “In retail, we continue to bring a magical experience to our customers around the world, and we were thrilled with our best-ever results in retail during the quarter. We were excited to open our fifth store in India in December and have plans to open another store in Mumbai soon.”
The retail experience and other initiatives like trade-in and discounts, not to mention an extensive catalog of high-quality products, are driving more and more people to buy them. This is clear from the sales figures. In its earnings report, Cook announced, “We set a quarterly revenue record during the December quarter, and to drill down a little further, we set a quarterly revenue record on iPhone and Mac and iPad and an all-time revenue record on Services. So, it was a great quarter in India. We really like what we see there.” Separately, data released by Counterpoint Research has placed Apple among the top five smartphone brands in India by sales volume, with the iPhone 16 becoming the best-selling smartphone worldwide.
