Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to be held from 2025 9 to 13 June, and now there is a new tagline to go with it – Sleek Peak. Greg Josaviak in Apple, SVP MarketingPosted on X (East Twitter)“WWDC25 is next week! You can’t wait to show you what we are doing. You see on 9 June at 10 am.” For track holders, there was an earlier tagline – on the horizon – which Apple initially used in its promotional material. The new tagline appears to reflect the focus of the company on the design, especially the rumor -rumored visual overhaul of iOS that is said to borrow heavy from Visionos – according to the operating system behind the Vision Pro headset – according to – Mark Gurman of Bloomberg,
Interestingly, this year’s WWDC can also rethink Apple at its entire software naming conference. Instead of calling the next iPhone operating system iOS 19, there is a point that Apple can change the name of iOS 26 so that the calendar can be aligned with the year. It will bring uniformity to its platforms, which currently moves different version numbers – iOS 18, Macos 15, Watches 11, and so on – it becomes difficult to track it. This potential naming did Samsung what Samsung did with its Galaxy S20 series in 2020, which got better matches from S10 to S20 to S20 with a better match to launch product names.
Of course, this change raises a natural question – why jump on iOS 26 instead of iOS 25, are we in 2025? This part is unclear, and only Apple really knows the reason for this. Regardless, it is clear that WWDC 2025 can mark a major twist point for the company, not only what is under the hood, but how the entire software ecosystem is presented and structured. A new visual language added with a more spontaneous naming system can just start.
Wwdc 2025: what is expected
This year’s WWDC is expected to be less about adding attractive new features and changing and feeling Apple’s software and feeling. As BloombergApple is preparing large-scale redesign in iOS, iPados, Macos, Watchos, and TVOS-a project internal coding solarium. Taking inspiration from visionos, updated interface states that it contains round app icons, translucent elements, and touches a soft design, which reminds of the last seen major improvement with iOS 7.
As we have already mentioned, iOS 26, Macos 26, and similar naming is also likely, from which the version tracking is simple and more and more compatible in Apple’s ecosystem.
Beyond the visuals, easy Wi-Fi sharing, intelligent battery tools and a desktop mode for iPhone with USB-C expects practical updates, allowing them to mimic the PC setup. Gamers can see a new cross-platform app that makes the game center, while developers can find new equipment to integrate Apple Intelligence in third-party apps. And while the hardware center will not take the stage, a new Mac Pro or a teaser of the rumor iPhone 17 can still create a brief appearance.
