A 26-year-old Mumbai Teki, who works in an e-commerce company, met with an accident, was scuba diving in this summer near Puducherry. Kshitij, who has been diving since 2020, clearly remembers the phenomenon: “The water was very tempering and the visibility was bad, we could only see 5 to 10 meters. We were about 36 meters below when I suddenly started shooting towards the surface,” he said that today it tells India.

The problem was with the weight belt, which had become unstable and bounced the horizon, extending it to the surface. The clock felt her unusual climb and when the climbing rate did not change after its warning message, the device activated its siren. This was the siren that attracted the attention of the instructor, which was with Kshitij.

“When I ignored the warnings, the clock began to rip down in full quantity. The siren was different. My instructor, who was ahead of me, immediately heard it and floated back. By then, I had already climbed 10 meters and still growing uncontrollably,” he said.

If this watch is not for an emergency alarm on Ultra, Kshitij would be at risk of high lung expansion. Under the water, the body compresses due to pressure, and climbing very quickly can cause the lungs to expand and potentially break. In short, it could have been fatal to Kshitij. “I didn’t even know that it had that siren feature,” he says.

Later, Kshitij also thanked Apple and wrote to CEO Tim Cook, sharing the incident. For his surprise, the owner of the apple responded to him. Cook wrote in his email, “I am very happy that your trainer heard the alarm and helped you quickly. Thank you very much for sharing your story with us. Well,” Cook wrote in his email.

How Apple Watch Ultra’s emergency siren works

Apple launched its rugged and adventure-Reddy Apple Watch Ultra in 2022. This watch includes security facilities such as emergency sirens designed for emergency. In the case of Kshitij, the clock felt the rapid climb and activated the siren when he did not receive any response from the user. Watch Ultra emits two optional, high-picked sounds, which can be heard from 180 meters away. According to Apple, the siren is engineered to stand out of natural or environmental sounds, making them easier to find out in chaotic conditions.

The siren continues until it is closed or the watch exits the battery. Apple notes that while the siren may be slightly reduced to a slightly less than that, it comes back in full quantity once it is dry.
