Apple has finally announced the launch of the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and AirPods 4 and up. These new devices were introduced during Apple’s Glow Time event alongside the latest iPhone 16 series, which include a number of enhancements and new features designed to enhance the user experience.

Apple Watch Series 10: Specifications

The Apple Watch Series 10 has the largest and most advanced display in the lineup, with a wide-angle OLED screen that offers 30 percent more screen area than the previous model. The display is brighter at angles, improving visibility during a variety of activities. Both the display and case have more rounded corners and a wider aspect ratio, giving the watch a more streamlined look. The front crystal is made of Ion-X glass and extends beyond the edges of the case, contributing to the wide look of the device.

The Series 10 is the thinnest Apple Watch ever, measuring 9.7 millimeters, about 10 percent thinner than the Series 9. The Ultra 2 also features capabilities such as a depth gauge for diving, offline maps with custom route creation, and turn-by-turn navigation for hikers to adventurers. It includes an advanced compass app with essential data such as latitude, longitude, and waypoint navigation, perfect for day trips or extended treks. For water activities, the Ultra 2 is equipped with a depth sensor, automatic stroke detection, and lap count features, which enhance the swimming workout experience.

Apple has introduced its new Ultra 2 in a new satin black finish, which Apple said is achieved through a custom blasting process, with a diamond-like carbon PVD coating for improved scratch resistance and durability. It is made from 95 percent recycled grade 5 titanium, which is commonly used in the aerospace industry.

This design of the Watch Ultra 2 also comes with updated bands, including a new titanium Milanese Loop, available in both natural and black finishes with a rust-resistant, elegant design.

The Apple Watch Series 10 has been launched in the US at a price of $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the GPS + Cellular model.

On the other hand, the premium Apple Watch Ultra 2 has been launched at a price of $799.

Both models are now available for pre-order and will become available in the US starting September 20th.

Apple AirPods 4: Specifications

Apple has introduced two models of the AirPods 4. The new generation AirPods are said to build on the original design to improve fit and comfort by using advanced modelling tools such as 3D photogrammetry and laser topography to analyse thousands of ear shapes.

Powered by the H2 chip, the new generation AirPods deliver improved audio quality with enhanced bass and clear highs in an open-air design. AirPods 4 feature personal spatial audio, hands-free calling and gesture-based Siri interactions, as well as voice isolation for clearer calls. The new AirPods 4 charging case is compact, supports USB-C and offers up to 30 hours of total battery life.

For users seeking enhanced performance, Apple has also introduced a second model of AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, which leverages advanced microphones, the H2 chip, and computational audio to reduce environmental noises such as airplane engines and city traffic. These AirPods also feature Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio that adjusts according to environmental changes, and Conversation Awareness to reduce media volume when interacting with others nearby. The case includes a built-in speaker for wireless charging, compatibility with Apple Watch and Qi-certified chargers, and “Find My” functionality.

Apple says both AirPods 4 models have been designed with sustainability in mind, using 100 percent fiber-based materials, reducing packaging by more than 30 percent, and moving toward Apple’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.

AirPods Max: Specifications

Apple has launched the new AirPods Max, which feature active noise cancellation, transparency mode and extended battery life. The AirPods Max feature an over-ear design with memory foam cushions, providing both comfort and effective noise isolation. Apple’s new headphones are made of a stainless steel frame and breathable knit mesh canopy, which offer durability and a lightweight feel.

The AirPods Max also feature USB-C charging. Battery life is up to 20 hours with Active Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio enabled. They offer fast charging, providing up to 1.5 hours of playback from a 5-minute charge. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.0 and can be used with a wired connection via a Lightning to 3.5mm audio cable. They also integrate with Apple’s ecosystem for added functionality.

Apple’s new AirPods Max are available in a variety of colours, including black, purple, and orange.

Price of Apple AirPods 4 and AirPods Max

The Apple AirPods 4 are available in the US for $129, while the model with active noise cancellation costs $179. Pre-orders are available now, with both models releasing on September 20.
