Apple is making smart glasses and they will have cameras, airpods can also get a camera
Apple is allegedly working on developing a smarter airpode equipped with AI-operated smart glass and infrared cameras. However, both projects are still away from the actual launch.
Listen to the story

According to several reports, Apple has been working on smart glasses for some time. In fact, CEO Tim Cook is so invested in this project that he “cares about” nothing else, “but construction and one-ups with existing hardware superior tech and expectation, functionality. It is also in the buzz that Cupertino is planning to equip its smart glasses with cameras and microphones. Holy airpods with infrared cameras are also apparently in tasks.
In his latest power on the letter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said that Apple’s smart glass project, code-name N50, is subject to development. The company is aiming to make these smart glass as a true “Apple Intelligence” device.
Unlike the fully developed enhanced enhanced reality (AR) headset, Apple wants your smart glasses to use onboard cameras and sensors to analyze the environment of the wearer and provide the AI system relevant information to feed real -time data. “The product will analyze the surrounding environment and will inform the wearer, although it will be well reduced from the right enrichment reality,” Gurman said.
But the project is “not yet close to getting ready” and there is a possibility that soon it will not come in the market at any time.
Smart glasses are facing delay in launch
Apple is said to be facing important technical and design challenges in creating light, functional glasses that can comfortably offer users to offer advanced facilities supported by AI. Previously, Gurman also said that a completely functional pair of AR glasses from Apple may be delayed by at least three to five years, as the company struggles with the “hard formula” to balance hardware power, performance quality, battery life and smooth design.
Airpods with camera
But smart glasses are not just a wearable smart project, Apple is currently working. It is said that airpods are also looking for ways to make them smart. Gurman said that Apple is developing airpods with external faced infrared cameras. These will not be traditional cameras, but infrared sensors are similar to those used in the face ID system of the iPhone.
The primary role of Apple’s new airpods with infrared cameras must collect spatial and environmental data, it will have to be sent to AI. This technique can then allow airpods to offer more individual and interactive experience – such as extended spatial audio.
Additionally, there are reports that infrared cameras will also allow airpods to enable gestures-based controls. With the help of infrared cameras, users can be able to control music playback, answer calls, or even interact with the AR environment using simple hand movements – without touching their equipment.
Apple Smart Glass Launch Timeline
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had earlier predicted that airpods with infrared cameras could enter mass production by 2026 or 2027, indicating that the technique is still a few years away when the technology is promising.
Therefore, while Apple is developing some interesting devices with state-of-the-art technology, it is moving slowly-perhaps very slowly compared to its rivals. For example, Meta launched its smart glass in 2023 in collaboration with Ray-Ban. The company has now confirmed that it will soon launch its Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glass in India. Developed in collaboration with essilorloxottica, the glasses combine the classic ray-ban style with the AI capabilities of the meta.
At the price of $ 299 in the US, these smart glasses are equipped with cameras and speakers, allowing users to take photos, record videos, call, and even using commands such as “hee met” allow real -time language translations to be obtained.
