Introduction
The iPhone se is dead; Long iPhone E for a long time! Apple has changed the more affordable SE line with the new iPhone 16E – as a controversial option, this new device is neither compact nor cheap.
According to Apple, the iPhone 16E is the first of many “affordable” iPhones, and it brings core apple experience to the public – sustainable design, top performance, excellent security and communication, apple intelligence, that kind of goods.
Okay, we would believe that we are a bit bitter, but this is because we were eager to get a revived iPhone 13 mini instead of iPhone 13. But this is what it is.
The iPhone 16E is actually like the iPhone 13 in size and design. The 6.1-inch 60Hz OLED screen with ceramic shield comes directly from the 2021, and the additional large face also makes a return, although the iPhone 13 had a small range than the iPhone 12.
But not fret, because everything here is not borrowed from the iPhone 13. You get a USB-C port for charging, and the action key is that you find on all iPhones. And at the center of the phone is Apple’s latest A18 chip with 8GB RAM, Apple’s first in-house for better battery efficiency and network coverage. It also has satellite messaging and full-features Apple intelligence in supported areas.
Unfortunately, you can only buy iPhone 16E in black or white. And you do not get Magsafe Technology which was introduced by the iPhone 12. Wireless charging support is still here, but it is more basic in speed, and charger accessories will not be magnetically attached.
Another difference for the iPhone 13 is that the iPhone 16E has only one camera on the back. This is a 48MP shooter with a 2x defective zoom, but the clues indicate a small sensor than the current iPhone 16, so the quality cannot be at the same level. The selfie camera is at least the same as the iPhone 16 – a 12MP unit with AF.
At 4,005mAh, the iPhone 16E has an additional large (by iPhone standards) battery – it is even larger than the iPhone 16, so at least that share is promising.
It seems that iPhone 16E did not mean a more compact device as we expected. Instead, it is a more affordable version of the iPhone 16, which essentially takes down all features, but still provides an up-to-date iOS user experience.

The iPhone 16E looks like a solid phone that apple is known to be the best-familiar design, a bright OLED display and an up-to-date iOS experience. We just want Apple to bring a better screen, or perhaps at least it did not deny this model Magsafe support.

The iPhone 16E comes in a thin white paper box, which has a latted USB-C cable and a SIM ejection pin.
Naturally, there is no charger inside the box, although it supports the iPhone, like the rest, USB-PD, and you can use any modern adapter.
