Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will soon expand in more languages and regions including India. The company has announced that the step will come into action in April, possibly with iOS 18.4.

Apple has finally announced that Apple Intellation is coming to India. According to the official release, the company is planning to expand the availability of Apple Intelligence in more fields and languages. Apple states, “Apple Intelligence, Personal Intelligence System that gives support and relevant intelligence information, will soon be available in more languages including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (simplified) – as well as localized Singapore And English for India. ,
In addition, the company has also confirmed that this update will be with iOS 18.4. “These new languages will be accessible in almost all areas around the world in April of iOS 18.4, iPados 18.4, and Macos Sequoia 15.4, and developers can start testing these releases today.”
It comes after a few weeks after Apple, Tim Cook confirmed that the company’s AI-Interested Suit, Apple Intelligence, will launch in India in this April. This step is an important step in expanding Apple’s AI capabilities in the country, which were limited to features such as the first clean up tools.
During the company’s latest income calls, Cook announced that the rollout would include support for localized English to India and Singapore, making AI-operated equipment more accessible to users in these areas. With this update, iPhone, iPad, and Mac users in India will soon achieve advanced AI features such as writing equipment, smart answer and chatgpt integration, increasing their overall experience.
How to use Apple Intelligence in India?
While there is still some time to use Apple Intelligence in Default Settings for Indian users, there is another way to play with new features.
To reach AI features on eligible iPhones, you must first convert your default regional setting into the language that supports Apple Intelligence. To do this, navigate on Settings> General> Language and Area, then select English (US) or any other supported language as the primary language of your device.
Currently, Indian English is not yet supported for Apple Intelligence. This setting ensures that your device recognizes the language required for AI functionality.
Next, go to Settings> Apple Intelligence and Siri> Language, and once again, choose English (US) or another supported language for Siri and Apple Intelligence.
After completing these steps, Apple will invite you to join a weightlist for access to Apple Intelligence. Once you join, you will receive a notification within a few hours or days when the local language model is downloaded on your device. At that point, you can begin searching for AI-operated features of the latest suit of Apple.
