Apple has a lot planned for the coming week. Following the release of the iPad mini 7 on October 15, all eyes are on the release of the next generation Mac. Rumors of an Apple launch in the coming week have been circulating for quite some time, including speculations from Apple Intelligence. Now putting these rumors to rest, Apple has indicated that the M4 Macs will be launched next week. Apple’s Grek Joswiak posted about the upcoming launch on the X. He said, “Mac your calendars! We have an exciting week of announcements, starting Monday morning. Stay tuned…”

But this is not the case. Although Apple has not yet confirmed the roll-out date of the first wave of Apple Intelligence, speculations are that the highly anticipated features will arrive on October 28. iOS 18.1 will bring several new AI-powered features and some more customization upgrades.
M4 Mac: What to Expect?
Rumors suggest that Apple will unveil several M4-powered Macs, including an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro, high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Additionally, an all-new Mac mini is expected in M4 and M4 Pro variants, along with an upgraded iMac with an M4 processor. These updates will deliver significant performance boosts to Apple’s desktop and laptop lineup, expanding the reach of the M4 family.
Rumors indicate that Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro and iMac will prioritize performance upgrades through the M4 processor, with no significant design improvements. In contrast, the Mac mini is expected to undergo a radical redesign, making it Apple’s smallest desktop computer ever. Reportedly, the new Mac mini will be equivalent in size to the Apple TV, boasting a compact and space-efficient form factor.
This overhaul will meet the needs of users wanting a powerful, minimalist desktop solution. The M4 processor upgrade will boost performance across the entire Mac lineup. While the MacBook Pro and iMac will retain their familiar designs, the revamped Mac mini will offer an exciting new option for those who value compact design and powerful processing.
The upcoming entry-level M4 Macs are expected to come with an upgraded RAM of 16GB instead of 8GB. This will allow better performance for Apple Intelligence features.
