The new MacBook Air is coming. Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased the launch of a new device in the company’s air lineup. In a cryptic post on X, Cook shared a short video with the phrase, “There is something in the air,” with a caption, “this week.” While the teaser suggests that Apple is preparing to announce a new product, according to the report, it will probably be the anticipated Macbook Air powered by M4 chip.

Earlier, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in his latest power on the letter, suggested that Apple is getting ready to unveil the M4 -equipped MacBook Air earlier this month. And now, the teaser further indicates at its upcoming launch. In particular, the upcoming MacBook Air is expected to bring significant upgrades compared to the M3 MacBook Air launched in 2024.
The upcoming MacBook Air with M4 is expected to come in both 13-inch and 15-inch variants and has Apple’s newest silicone. The new M4 chip will provide advanced performance and efficiency. Along with the new chipset, MacBook Air M4 is expected to include Thunderbolt 4 port, 12-megapixel webcam with center stage and better battery life. Apple M3 can compete with RAM, with a minimum capacity of 16GB and a new maximum capacity of 32GB compared to the 24GB limit on MacBook Air.
In particular, Apple’s phrase “There is something in the air” indicates on the launch of the new MacBook Air, as the company first used the same tagline during the launch of MacBook Air for the first time in 2008.
More for the expectation of this month
Meanwhile, apart from MacBook Air, Apple is also rumored to work on a new iPad Air this month. The launch is expected to be in the late this month. According to Gurman, the new iPad Air and iPad 11 models are in development and will possibly be released separately from MacBook Air.
The iPad Air is expected to be operated by the M3 or M4 chip, while the iPad 11 is rumored to facilitate the A16 bionic or A17 Pro chip. Despite the internal upgradation, neither the device is expected to see the major design change. While some people had speculated that Apple could announce both MacBook Air and iPads together, Gurman’s latest report shows that the iPads will launch a few weeks later, possibly in late March or early April.
