Actor Aparshakti Khurana recently recalled one of the most defining moments of his radio days. During this he interviewed Shahrukh Khan promotion of Ra One in 2011. At that time he had no concrete plans to become a film actor himself. Marking World Radio Day, the Dangal actor credited radio for shaping his artistic journey and preparing him for the demands of the entertainment industry.

Before entering Bollywood, Aparshakti worked as a radio jockey, an experience he believes laid a strong foundation for his career. Speaking about the impact radio had on him, he admitted that the skills he learned during that phase continued to guide him as an actor and host.

in conversation with Hindustan TimesAparshakti said, “Radio has taught me a lot, including teamwork and how to stay alert while doing live shows and it has also helped me as an actor and host. It has really shaped my future since then.”

Although he acknowledged that radio may no longer be as popular as it used to be, Aparshakti feels its attraction Remains timeless. He revealed that he still enjoys listening to the radio while driving, as it transports listeners to a different world and makes them aware of what is happening around them.

He said, “At that time, I had no plans of becoming a film actor. I was doing theatre, but I was not seeing any light at the end of this journey of becoming an actor on screen. I was very impressed by him and I really thought that my objective of becoming an RJ was fulfilled that day.”

The actor also recalled a humorous incident from his radio days. After completing a segment during a live show, he played a song but forgot to turn off his microphone. Believing he was off air, he began complaining to his producer about his boss’s bad behavior – only to later realize the entire conversation had been broadcast live. Many listeners heard it and found the moment relevant.
