In a video that is going viral, Aparshakti Khurana can be seen touching his brother Ayushmann Khurrana’s feet at an event. Aparshakti reacted to the clip and opened up about his bond with his brother.

Aparshakti Khurana is not only known for his exceptional acting skills but also for his close bond with his brother, actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Recently, at the screening of his latest film Berlin, Aparshakti was seen bending down and touching Ayushmann’s feet. The actor has now reacted to the video, recalling how his father instilled this tradition in him.
In a recent interview Digital Commentary“, Aparshakti, who was last seen in Stree 2, revealed how the tradition of touching his brother Ayushmann’s feet started. Describing their relationship as “like old-fashioned Ram-Laxman”, Aparshakti shared that his father had imposed a rule wherein he would have to touch his elder brother’s feet every morning or else he would be barred from staying in the house.
Aparshakti said, “The thing is that when you are small, you don’t know how to talk to your elder brother, you don’t know how to respect him. That’s why papa kept telling me to call him ‘bhai’.”Brother‘ But I won’t do that.” He further recalled an incident that happened between him and his brother when he was around eight-nine years old.
He recalled, “One day, when we were playing, we had a fight and I called him something like, ‘Brother-in-law‘ Or ‘slavish‘ or something and I got beaten up a lot that day. After that, the conclusion was that from this day onwards, you will call him ‘bhaiya’ and touch his feet every morning and that is the only way you can stay in this house, or you cannot stay in this house.”
Sharing details about their bond, Aparshakti further added, “I think once you start doing that, there is less scope for fighting or conflict, because then you can’t shout at them, and you won’t say anything bad. And if you don’t say anything bad, there is no room for fighting, so it’s a very old school Ram-Laxman kind of relationship. We have grown up in a middle-class and small town and probably, that’s why things are still good between us.”
Aparshakti Khurana’s Berlin is currently streaming on Zee5. It also stars Rahul Bose and Anupriya Goenka in pivotal roles.
