However, at an event in Mumbai, the actress opened up to the audience and made several revelations about her personal life. The couple is proud parents to a daughter Vamika and a son Akay. The actress shared her parenting tips about healthy living for her kids. She said that she and her husband Virat have dinner at 5:30 pm with daughter Vamika. She said, “It started as a convenience because my daughter wanted her dinner early. She used to eat around 5:30 pm and most of the time, me and her would be alone at home. So, I used to think what am I going to do now, maybe sleep. I started seeing the benefits of it – I slept better, felt fresh in the morning, there was less brain fog

She further explained how important it is for kids to have a fixed routine and that she maintains a fixed routine for her kids even though they travel frequently as a family. “I am very conscious of routine. We travel a lot as a family, and my kids experience a lot of changes in their lives. So, by creating a routine for them, I am giving them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed – no matter where we are, we eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. This helps us regulate ourselves better”, she explained.

She also said that she and her husband prepare their own food for their children so that they can pass on the recipes prepared by their mothers to the next generation.
The actress also revealed how she and Virat don’t believe in being “perfect parents”. She said that they complain about things in front of their kids so that they know that they have flaws and it’s okay to be flawed. According to Anushka, this reduces the pressure on the kids to be perfect.
