Anurag Kashyap is one of the famous filmmakers in Bollywood. He is known to be part of many acclaimed undertakings – it is in the direction front or acting front. He wears his heart on his sleeve and most recently he once again spoke out his heart. The filmmaker recently wanted to convert his show into a money history by turning away after a streaming platform.
During a recent conversation with The Hindu, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he had written a film for Malayalam star Mohanlal and desired his long -term cinematographer, Rajiv Ravi, to direct it. However, the project may not be physical, and he renewed the story for Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat starrer Kennedy.
He said that Kennedy’s central character, an undercover policeman named Uday Shetty, lived with him for a long time. This was narrated to him by Sudhir Mishra. He even had a sequel web-series, where the character avoids the incident of Kennedy.
The filmmaker said that he had tried to pitch another show on a streaming platform. He revealed that the forum involved “really wanted”, but the response he received was “very unsafe and algorithm-based”.
“It was destroying the soul of the show. I was doing something else pitching, and they wanted to convert it into money. I turned my hands and left, ”he further said. During the conversation, Anurag said that the material is shaped by the data sheet that is removed from the second-by-second user behavior.
In addition, he also talked about the delay in the release of Kennedy, which has been screened at the iconic film festivals such as Kan and Mami. Kashyap shared that Kennedy’s release was delayed in Zee Studio due to financial troubles, further stated that he had come with such obstacles.
Wasseypur director’s gangs mentioned that the film was closed by the censor. However, he revealed that Zee had lost money on his recently released films. On the other hand, people producing the film have also left the company.
In particular, Anurag has faced similar challenges with his earlier films such as Black Friday and Gulal, while with his first feature film, punch is still unpublished.
