Aashiqui franchise has captured hearts with its latest love stories and unforgettable music albums. The first film featured Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, while the second, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor, became a large -scale hit. Kartik Aryan will be seen leading in the third installment. Recently, Anurag Basu shared that the filming for Aashiqui 3 would begin next month, the platform for another romantic saga will be set up.
In a chat with ANI, Anurag Kashyap gave a new update on the much awaited Karthik Aryan-Star Aashiqui 3. The filmmaker revealed that the shooting ‘has not yet started shooting’ but confirmed that the team would start the film next month.
He said, “We will start the shoot next month.” Currently, the filmmaker focuses on the pre-produced phase, receiving everything for music saga.
In the same interview, Anurag Basu also described a comparison between the Hindi film industry and the Korean film industry as ‘youth’. He said that while global attention is starting to notice Indian cinema, it has a long journey. According to him, mainstream Bollywood films are mainly aimed at the Indian Diaspora, and we have not yet achieved the same international access that enjoys the Korean film industry.
He said that when Korean films have received a global audience, Indian films are still seen by Indians and some selected international cinema enthusiasts. Anurag insisted that the focus of the industry remains at the box office number for the weekend, instead of making its appeal widespread worldwide.
In September 2022, Karthik Aryan officially announced Aashiqui 3. The actor took a glimpse of the third installment on Instagram to share, and with a hearty caption, he wrote, “AB Tere Bin Jee Lengen Hum Zehar Zindagi Ka Pai Pai Lenge Hum Ashikik 3 is a heartbreaking! !
Apart from Aashiqui 3, Anurag Basu is working in his 2007 hit Life in a metro sequel, titled Metro in Dino. The Anthology film is an influential actor, including Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Konkona Sen Sharma.
