Actress Anupama Parmeswaran has admitted that she is feeling uncomfortable playing Lily in Telugu Hit Tilu Square. In a clear interview with Idebrain, she said that Bhag pushed her out of her rest area and she would reject similar roles in the future. Tilu Square was released on 29 March 2024, and became a box-office success, but the actress says that personal experience was easy.
Anupama Parmeswaran told Idebrain, “If someone comes and gives me a Tilu-like character, I will not do this now. Because I was not comfortable to do that character. So not that the team was bad, everything was very good, but I was not comfortable to do that role in my skin.” He said that the yatra influenced his confidence. “It was not a smooth experience. I felt bad, disappointed, and not confident. It’s not who I am, and I was not capable as that person.”
Why did he play a role in Tilu Square?
Anupama said that he decided to sign Tilu Square as Lily’s character was different from her normal image. He said, “It took me a long time to say yes to the film. I was in two minds because the role was so different who I am,” she said. He alerted about styling and saw the character. “I usually don’t spend a lot of time to think about how I see or style my hair. I don’t worry about organizations.”
Despite his inconvenience, Anupama is proud that the performance resonated with the audience. “When people appreciated me, I felt proud of myself,” he said. “Even though I was uncomfortable and weak, I managed to convince the audience. I assured them that I was confident that I was a boss woman who didn’t care about others … and I think it’s a big success.”
