TV actress Madalsa Sharma, who became famous for her role of Kavya in Star Plus’ show ‘Anupama’, has left the show. Just a few weeks ago, actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Madalsa’s husband Vanraj in the show, also left the show. In a recent interview, the actress said that the decision to leave the show is a well-thought-out decision in her career.

Madalsa said, “There was tremendous development in my character, but last year I felt that the story had moved beyond Vanraj, Kavya and Anupama.” Bombay Times Explaining his decision he said, “There wasn’t much spice or spark left in my character.”

When Madalsa joined the cast of Anupamaa as Kavya in 2020, she played a grey character who created a storm in Anupamaa and Vanraj’s marriage. However, the makers changed her character’s behaviour. Madalsa believes that if Kavya had continued as a grey character, she would have remained a part of the show.

Madalsa decided to leave the show after discussing the matter with Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi. The actress said, “For the last few months, the creative team was trying to do something different with my character, but nothing worked out.”

Earlier, Sudhanshu Pandey came live on Instagram and announced his exit from the show.

“As you all know, for the last four years I have been entertaining you through a daily soap called Anupamaa, where I play a role for which I have received immense love. Some people were also angry with me, and I am thankful to them because if they were not angry with my character, they would have thought I was not doing well. Amidst so much love, with a heavy heart, I want to inform you all that I will not be a part of the show. I will not be a part of the show from this Raksha Bandhan,” he said in the video.

Madalsa, who is married to Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay, was a part of Anupamaa for the last four years. The show stars Rupali Ganguly in the lead role and Gaurav Khanna also in a key role.
