Anupam Kher’s upcoming film ‘Signature’ is on wife Kiran’s cancer treatment.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher, in a conversation with India Today Digital, opened up about his wife and actor Kirron Kher’s cancer treatment and his upcoming release Signature.
Life often reflects art. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, while promoting his upcoming release Signature, shared with us how certain scenes from the film resonated with him because of his partner and actor Kirron Kher’s cancer journey.
Anupam told India Today Digital, “During the shooting of this film, there were some scenes which I played on a personal level. My wife Kiran was unwell and was undergoing cancer treatment, so bringing those emotions to celluloid came from that experience. I think it is the circumstances of my personal life that helped me play this role efficiently.”
Recalling his wife’s cancer treatment, Anupam said, “Kiran also got her treatment done in Mumbai. We have some amazing doctors in our country and just like Mahima advised Hina Khan to get treatment in our country, I also strongly advocate the same. This is also because I remember meeting Rishi Kapoor when he was unwell. Chintu ji was in America for a year and when we met, he told how difficult it was for him to get treatment away from his home and other family members. Mr. Anil Ambani also sent his plane to bring back Kiran and got her treated in India. This is something I appreciate immensely because it is very kind,” he signed off.
Signature will premiere on October 4 on ZEE5.
