Renowned actor Anupam Kher has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi. The event, to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, will mark Modi’s third term after his landslide victory in the recently held national elections.

Kher, a die-hard Modi supporter, expressed his gratitude and excitement on receiving the invitation. “This will be my third time attending a swearing-in ceremony as a citizen of India. It’s very special. But what’s even bigger is that the Prime Minister is #SameToSame. The dialogue this evening will be the same!!! I am Narendra Damodardas Modi… Congratulations to all! Jai Hind! #PrimeMinister @narendramodi,” Kher wrote in a post on Instagram.

The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be a grand affair, attended by prominent political leaders, dignitaries and celebrities from various fields. Rajinikanth will also attend the event along with Anupam. Speaking to the media before leaving for Delhi from Chennai, Rajinikanth said Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time after Jawaharlal Nehru and called it an ‘achievement’, as reported by news agency PTI.

Kher, who has a long-standing relationship with Modi, has often praised the Prime Minister’s policies and initiatives. The actor’s presence at the ceremony underlines the support Modi is receiving from various sectors, including the entertainment industry.

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take oath as the leader of the coalition government at 7.15 pm on Sunday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony will be attended by dignitaries and special invitees from neighbouring countries and the Indian Ocean region. Traffic restrictions and airspace restrictions have been imposed in the national capital in view of the event.
