Anupam Kher bids goodbye to 2025 through a poem on love and hope
On the last day of 2025, veteran actor Anupam Kher read an emotional poem and reflected on the passing year, sharing wishes of love and hope with his fans via social media.
As the year 2025 approaches, Anupam Kher shared a touching poem with his fans on the occasion, expressing feelings of love, hope and reflection. The actor, known for his illustrious career in Indian cinema, revealed that these poems were sent to him by his close friend Satish Malhotra. Kher’s decision to share the poem on social media was liked by many as it captured the sentiment of farewell and goodwill associated with the end of the year.
Standing in his home office, Anupam Kher said the lines: “Dear December, you are leaving, fill your bag with gifts before leaving. Let everyone’s life be bright and bring darkness. There should be no tears in the eyes, go with a smile on the face. Fill the withered and sad hearts with happiness, do not remain sad and give the gift of good fortune to someone in life.” (Dear December, you are leaving, give a bag full of gifts before leaving. He continued, “Let the nights of sorrow go away, let it rain on the days of happiness. The garden of love should remain fragrant, take it along with autumn. Go to every house filled with joy and happiness, giving happiness and prosperity. The pearls of relationships get scattered, the thread breaks. Stay healthy, happy and peaceful, give blessings.(May the nights of sadness go away, may the days of happiness rain. May the garden of love flourish, take the leaves with you. May every home be filled with happiness, may you go with happiness and prosperity. May the pearls of relationships not fall apart; tie the thread tightly. May you be healthy, stay happy, leave blessings and prayers.) Kher said that sharing the poem was his way of wishing everyone before the beginning of the New Year.

Along with the poem, Anupam Kher posted a reflective message on Instagram pondering the significance of the end of the year. He wrote, “The year doesn’t really end, it quietly settles within us. Every unanswered question turns into a deeper understanding. Time doesn’t change who we are; it simply reveals us. The New Year is not a new road, but the same journey, walked with a little more awareness #LastDay.”
