Anil Mehta, 65, committed suicide by jumping from the sixth-floor balcony of his house in Bandra on Wednesday morning. Mehta’s wife Joyce Polycarp was in their flat at Ayesha Manor in Bandra at the time of the incident. She said that around 9 am she saw her husband’s slippers in the living room, following which she began to look for him. Unable to find him, she leaned on the balcony railing and saw a chaotic scene below – a security guard was screaming for help. “That’s when I realised something was very wrong,” she reportedly told the police.
