The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations for the 2024 International Emmy Awards today on September 19. Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Disney+ Hotstar series, The Night Manager received a nomination in the Best Drama Series category. A total of 56 nominees were recognised across 14 categories representing 21 countries.

Starring Sobhita Dhulipala, The Night Manager will compete for the award with Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God) (France), The Newsreader – Season 2 (Australia), and Iosi, el espia erpentido – Season 2 (Argentina).

Actor Anil Kapoor expressed happiness on hearing this news and told NDTV“This is very good news.”

The Night Manager is the Indian version of the British series of the same name. The Indian version of the series is created by Sandeep Modi. The second season of The Night Manager is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The series also stars Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl and Saswata Chatterjee in supporting roles.

The series’ description on the streamer reads, “A dreaded arms dealer, a night manager, and a dangerous game of love and betrayal — it’s Showtime!”
