Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar are two of B-Town’s most celebrated screenwriters who took the Indian film industry by storm with the power of their words. The writer duo joined hands for around 24 films, out of which 22 were blockbuster hits. But sadly, they parted ways after years. Now, Zoya Akhtar has come up with a docuseries that gives the audience a deep insight into their partnership. But ahead of its premiere on Prime Video on August 20, a special star-studded screening was held in Mumbai on August 19.
Many celebrities attended the screening of Angry Young Men. These included Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor. The actress arrived wearing a white sweatshirt with burgundy cargo pants. She completed her look with a handbag and white sneakers. Kapoor went with minimal makeup and a neatly tied bun for the night. For those who don’t know, she made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s OTT film The Archies.
Khushi was joined by her alleged boyfriend Vedang Raina. The young star along with his alleged girlfriend wore a white t-shirt and black acid-wash baggy pants. With black and white sneakers and their cute smiles, they posed for the paparazzi. Vedang also worked with Khushi in the same teen musical film.
After this, actress Sobhita Dhulipala attended the screening in public for the first time after her engagement to South star Naga Chaitanya on August 8. She was seen wearing a blue denim jumpsuit and white high heels. The Monkey Man actress styled her hair in a messy way for the event.
Accompanying them was actor Riteish Deshmukh who looked dapper in his casual attire. The Kakuda actor paired his blue shirt and white pants with sneakers and a white cap to keep his long hair in place.
Veteran writers of the moment Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar finally arrived at the venue for the screening of their upcoming show. While Salman Khan’s father arrived with his trusted companions and bodyguards, the veteran lyricist and father of Zoya and Farhan Akhtar arrived hand-in-hand with his lovely wife, actress Shabana Azmi.
Actor and director Kunal Kemmu also arrived to extend his support to the two senior writers of the Hindi film industry. He was dressed in a green T-shirt and beige cargo pants. The writer and director of Madgaon Express completed his look with a white cap and matching slippers.
Soon after, producer and actor Boney Kapoor also attended the screening of Angry Young Men. Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor’s father arrived wearing a brown kurta-pyjama.
A similar special screening was organised in the city on August 18. Many young Bollywood personalities attended the event. These included Salman Khan’s nephew Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora’s son Arhaan Khan. His cousin Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev’s son Nirvaan Khan also attended.
Tiger 3 star’s niece Fairy actress Alizeh Agnihotri made a stylish entry. Showing her support for Salim-Javed, she wore a customised T-shirt over a satin slip dress. The young stars were joined by Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani and fashionista Urfi Javed. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan also made a grand entry at the event.
