Actress Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh’s request to remove the word Pitt from her name has officially been granted, TMZ reports.

When Shiloh turned 18 earlier this year, she filed a request for it.

Now, according to new court documents obtained by a US media outlet, Shiloh has received court approval to drop the Pitt surname from her name. She will now officially be known as Shiloh Jolie, keeping only her mother’s surname.

According to reports, Hollywood star Brad Pitt has a strained relationship with all his six children, a similar one with Angelina Jolie.

Jolie and Pitt’s separation was widely reported in 2016, and the custody arrangement for their six children has been a subject of controversy for several years. However, in 2021 a judge ordered joint custody. Recent developments indicate a possible rift between Shiloh and Brad Pitt.

Shiloh isn’t the only Jolie and Pitt child to distance herself from the Pitt surname. Their daughter Zahara was also known as ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’ when she joined her sorority at Spelman College.

According to TMZ’s report, their other daughter Vivienne, 15, has also been avoiding using Pitt as her last name. She was listed only as Vivienne Jolie on a playbill for a Broadway musical produced by Angelina, where she recently worked as a PA.
