As expected, Google rolled out the first stable release of Android 16 for its pixel lineup. Update is now available for Pixel 6 series and new phones -Pixel Tablet. Android 16 is available as OTA updates for stable following devices.

- Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6A
- Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7A
- Pixel fold
- Pixel tablet
- Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8A
- Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9A
The two biggest changes of Android 16 are not part of this first stable release. We are talking about the content 3 expressive and new desktop mode, which will come later.
Google also released its developer-centered Android 16 QPR 2 Beta, including the new desktop mode. This requires a displayport connection for external monitor and allows users to run several apps with resigned windows. There is a taskbar that shows the running app and an app drawer.
Connected phones work independently of external performance. If you are using a tablet like Google’s very pixel tablet, the desktop session will be extended into both displays so that you can draw the item in both the tablet screen and connected display.
Android 16 brings support for stable adaptive apps, which ensure apps scale and behave properly regardless of the screen size, orientation or form factor of your phone. This should be a major boost for foldables.
Information from a single app will now be grouped to reduce chaos.

Google is also overhaling its notification management with live updates-dynamic information for ongoing activities such as dwigation, ride-halling and food delivery. These types of information will be available in your lock screen and system status area.

Users with auditory devices will get a new native control togle that brings battery status, preset, microphone selection and volume control. Users can now switch to use your phone microphone for better voice pickups in the noosier environment.

Advanced protection allows users to protect their personal data from online attacks, harmful apps, unsafe websites and scam calls.
The tablet is getting a new desktop winding option. This feature allows users to open, move and shape many app windows in interfaces such as desktops. This feature will roll on the equipment compatible at the end of this year.
Other features in Android 16 stable include custom keyboard shortcuts, HDR screenshots, adaptive refresh rate control and identity checks.
