Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed love and war is one of the most awaited films of Indian cinema, riding on a combined star-cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film moved on the floor in November 2024, and the filmmaker has been shooting extensively with the leading trio since then. The shooting of about 125 days has already been completed, and a big program is currently running on a huge set in Mumbai.
While the Mumbai schedule will run till mid -October, Pinkvilla has specifically learned that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is ready to fly to Italy for a major event of love and war from the second half of October. A source said, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going international with love and war. Director Italy is going to shoot the film’s climax scene in Sicily. It is planned as a large -scale program across the city, making it the biggest shooting of the film.”
The source further informs that the climax of love and war makes a major dramatic high promise to the whole story, as SLB plays to keep Ranbir, Alia and Vicky’s acting talent at the forefront. “SLB likes to shoot a large-to-life dramatic moments, and the climax of Love and War will be a drama at its peak with romance in the background. He is planning to shoot a long-term climax sequence in Sicily, searching the city’s diverse landscape. He will also shoot for a song with three characters.
Love and War is confirmed for March 20, 2026 and the team is trying to call it a rap on the film by the end of December/January. SLB has already edited a large part of shot parts with its team, and like their previous films, shooting and edit work is going on by hand. “There is no delay in the release of Love and War. It is coming on the long holiday period starting from March 20, 2025.”
