Ananya Panday has been juggling multiple films, TV shows, brand endorsements and more. However, despite being busy with her other work, the actress has also been seen giving special appearances; first in the song Heart Throb from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and more recently in Vicky Kaushal’s film Bad Newz.
During an interview, the actress was asked if she likes doing cameos or does she do it to build a good rapport with other actors and filmmakers. Answering this, the Gehraiyaan actress said, “I love doing it.” Ananya Panday further told Bollywood Hungama that there is some ‘finger’ inside her that inspires her to do something like this.
Referring to Salman Khan’s film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, the Student of the Year 2 star revealed that she used to get very excited when she saw another actor in the middle of the film. She also recalled how several B-Town biggies shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in the song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ from Farah Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’.
“Karan always brings Rani (Mukherjee) and Kajol ma’am back to his movies, it’s so much fun,” he said. Speaking from the audience’s point of view, Pandey also said that when cinema lovers see stars in a movie while eating popcorn in theatres, they say ‘Oh, this is my favourite actor’. Such exciting and fun things encourage them to make special appearances in movies.
During the same conversation, Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya said that she definitely wants to do horror or horror-comedy genre films. The young actress said that Priyadarshan’s 2007 film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is her favourite and something that can still scare her. She said, “I want to look in the mirror and scare myself. I want to do something completely different.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya Panday is gearing up for the release of her film CTRL on Netflix on October 4, 2024. While she is busy shooting for her upcoming film Shankara, AP will also be seen in the web series Call Me Bae.
