Actress Ananya Pandey will soon be seen in a film in which Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play an important role. Ananya talked about the misuse of AI and said that only government regulations can bring the much-needed change as far as deepfake videos are concerned.
Speaking to PTI, Ananya said, “It is very scary. As public figures, our faces and voices are out there. (So) I don’t know how much security we can do. I think it has to be done by the government.” “We have to come by the rules. Maybe that’s the only solution.”
Ananya is not alone, other top stars like Aamir Khan and Rashmika Mandanna have also become victims of deepfakes and have spoken openly about it.
Deepfakes blur the line between reality and illusion, creating lifelike videos that can mislead and manipulate. As technology advances, the challenge of distinguishing truth from deception becomes more complex.
Meanwhile, Ananya’s film, CTRL, will start streaming on Netflix from October 4. It is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
