15 years after Khatta Meeta, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are reunited on the horror comedy of Bhutha Bungalow built by Ekta Kapoor. The film is ready for release of April 2026 and is one of the most awaited feature films already in the year. The producers have found a malignant dress in the film, which have names like Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani and Vamika Gabbi. The team recently wrapped an important event in Hyderabad and is now getting ready for the final phase of the shoot in February 2025.
Pinkvilla has specifically learned that Akshay Kumar and Tabu have shot for a classical dance number through a schedule in Hyderabad. “Akshay and Tabu have shot for a classical dance number composed by Pritam. It never like tabu, as he will be seen performing classical Indian dances with Akshay. The presence of the song at a major moment of the film, and the depiction is stated to be the main attraction of Bhutha Bungalow, “revealed a source close to development.
Bhoot Bungalow is considered a comic-copper, and in it Vamika Gabbi and Mithila Palakar play the love of Khili’s love and sister respectively. Bhuta Bungalow Bungalow brings back the entire OG gang among others like Hera Far, Bhagwan Bhag, and Bhool Bhulaiya, and the manufacturers have promised to give a scary experience on the big screen. According to sources, the film undergoes a broad VFX work, as producers increase it on a humble scale. The source said, “The horror / supernatural element of the ghost bungalow originates from the mythological element, which is shot perfectly by Priyadarshan,” the source said.
Akshay, Priyan and Pritam’s trio are also behind the Panth song, Ami J Tomar from Bhulia (2007), who eventually made their way for Part 2 and Part 3. Apart from the Bhoot Bungalow, the pair of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are also reuniating India’s largest and most prestigious comedy – Hera Ferry 3.
