3M India, M&M, Tata Communications, Apollo Tyres, and many others are expected to be in focus this week as they approach their record dates for dividend payments.

Dividends are paid to shareholders whose names appear in the company’s database on the record date. Following the implementation of the T+1 settlement framework, the Record Date and Ex-Date are generally the same in most cases, excluding any market holidays immediately following the Ex-Date.

Shareholders who buy the stock at least one day before the ex-date are eligible for the dividend, as the settlement takes place on the earlier date. Those who buy stock on ex-date are not eligible for dividend.
