Amitabh Bachchan recently revealed the physical challenges he faced while filming the popular song Khaike Paan from Banaras from the movie leaderBut I am saying Who will become a millionaire 17Bachchan reported that the sequence took four days to complete, consisting of 40 to 50 shots, with each shot requiring three to four retakes.

Sharing her experience with a contestant in KBC, she said,We did that song for four days. There must have been at least 40-50 shots from us. There must have been at least 3-4 retakes in every shot. Every time the story, our chosen father-in-law’s paan remained, our condition worsened by chewing it.We shot that song for four days. There were at least 40-50 shots. Each shot had 3-4 retakes. Every time I had to chew that paan along with catechu and chuna and repeated chewing made my condition very bad.” Repeated chewing caused a lot of discomfort, including a burning sensation inside his mouth.

Bachchan further revealed how the director requested him to make his lips appear consistently red in all scenes, and instructed him to eat more paan to maintain consistency. “Because that director said,” he recalled.Sir, that was your mouth moving in the previous shot, this should also move. ‘Make your lips a little redder.’ He had to eat again and again. It took us a month to clean our mouths. So much was burnt. Whatever is chosen, when it comes into the mouth, it burns. But I had a lot of fun doing it (Because the director said, ‘Sir, your mouth was moving in the previous shot, it should move here too. Make your lips look red.’ So I had to eat it again and again. It took me a month to get my mouth right. Everything was burnt. When limestone goes in the mouth, it burns. But it was a lot of fun doing that).”

Despite the discomfort and a month-long recovery, Bachchan reflected positively on the experience of filming the memorable song.
