In the video, Abhishek Bachchan reflects on his creative journey, saying that there comes a time when one feels the desire to make a meaningful impact. He noted that this realization often leads to a desire to create something inspirational for both oneself and others.
Speaking about I Want to Talk, he shared that when the script came to him, he immediately recognized its importance – not because of the character’s attractiveness, but because of his flexibility.
He stressed the importance of demonstrating the value of flexibility, especially in today’s generation, which he described as focused on instant gratification. Abhishek highlighted how modern society prioritizes immediate results, citing habits like constantly checking updates on social media platforms and moving on immediately when things don’t go as planned.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, I Want to Talk stars Pearle De, Ahilya Bambru, Jayant Kripalani, Christine Goddard and Johnny Lever in lead roles. The film is inspired by the true story of a cancer-stricken NRI, who is a close friend of the director. It narrates the journey of a single father as he faces the challenges of his daughter’s developing relationship with her from her early years.
The film is now running in theatres.
