Amitabh Bachchan regrets not being able to attend Sunday’s meeting at Jalsa, shares a note for fans
Amitabh Bachchan did not attend the meeting with fans outside Jalsa on Sunday. He expressed regret in a personal note and asked her to save energy for the future.

Amitabh Bachchan often posts pictures of his Sunday ritual, where he welcomes the huge crowd gathered outside his Mumbai home, Jalsa. They have maintained this long-standing tradition for decades, considering it an important way to show their appreciation for their fans’ unwavering support. However, this Sunday, February 22, proved to be an unexpected break from that routine.
Bachchan expressed his regret on his blog explaining the reason behind his absence. In her new post on Tumblr, she wrote, “Work continues with some gusto..but..a but appears..and the day ends for me..to take Sunday off..Sunday here..but no one at Jalsa gate, sadly….so save the energy of the journey and see you soon..till then..in the silence of thoughts and thinking and even more thought…my love…(sic).”

The actor has often expressed his gratitude towards the love given by his fans. In his first blog post, he became emotional when a large crowd outside the Jalsa cheered for him. She captioned, “The love and momentum grows and the utmost care and expression they give is incomparable..What I have done to deserve this is a mystery and one that can never be forgotten or cast aside.”
The 83-year-old last acted in a Tamil action-drama VettaiyaanDirected by TJ Gnanvel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions. The film starred actor Rajinikanth in the lead role, along with Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dussehra Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak in important roles.
Bachal will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s next episode Kalki 2898 AD. The film will star actors Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. After Deepika Padukone’s exit, the new heroine has not been confirmed yet.
