Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia, who collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan on an Ajnabi, has revealed that experienced actor struggles with Insomnia. While reflecting his experience of working with him, Apoorva shared that despite a long time on the set, Bachchan was never tired and was always excited about planning after work. He recalled that during his time in Bangkok, Bachchan expressed his keen interest in search of local culture and wore an anticonated shirt as a ** IP club, saying that he was ‘brain blow’.
In an interview with Friday Talkies, Apoorva resumed an incident when Amitabh Bachchan asked him to visit Bangkok. He hesitantly informed the actor about Patpong, known for his live show, warned that his presence could cause chaos.
However, Bachchan insisted on leaving, and they eventually left. Apoorva mentioned that actors Arjun Rampal, Vikram Chatwal, Perizad Zorabian, and producer Banti Walia were also with him. He also recalled that Bachchan was worn a shirt with most buttons and was paired with a traditional Thai dhoti.
Apoorva said that as soon as he went through Big B, he moved to a club, called Exotic Pu ** Y, known for his live show. He mentioned that Bachchan had never seen such a performance before, and as he entered, the presence of the mythical actor led to a frenzy among the Indians there.
Apoorva told how Bachchan passed through this region as he was in Juhu. After watching the show, Bachchan allegedly reacted with just two words- “Mind Blowing.” Apoorva further shared that despite returning around 2: 30-3: 00 pm, Bachchan was on the set at 5:30 am, only two and a half hours later.
Apoorva reminded how Kalki 2898 advertising actors sometimes arrange a film screening for the entire crew. He shared that experienced actors would suggest renting a cinema and personally ask Yash Chopra to request Bali and Babi screening.
According to Apoorva, Yash Chopra used to send the reel of the film, and the entire unit used to gather to see it. He further mentioned that Bachchan would arrange another film the next day, remembering how he often falls asleep on recliners during these screenings, which became a daily event.
