Megastars Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan were seen together on October 28, 2024, when Chiranjeevi was honored at the ANR National Awards ceremony.
As Amitabh Bachchan presented the award to the megastar, he talked about his pride in finally being a part of the Telugu cinema industry. Big B said, “I am now proud to say that I am a part of the Telugu film industry. Chiranjeevi, thank you for your friendship, concern, love, affection, humility and hospitality. Please consider me as a member of the Telugu film industry from now on.
He further added, “I hope that all these nice gentlemen who have given me a small part in their films like Nag (Nagarjuna Akkineni), Chiranjeevi and Nag Aswin will not forget to cast me in their film next time. thank you so much.”
Amitabh Bachchan shared the screen with Chiranjeevi for the 2019 epic action film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, directed by Surendra Reddy. Recently, Big B strengthened his presence in Telugu cinema by playing the lead role in Nag Aswin’s Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.
Many actors from the Telugu film industry came together to celebrate Chiranjeevi receiving the prestigious honor at the ANR National Awards event. During the event, the megastar was honored by Big B and he expressed his respect by touching the actor’s feet and described him as an inspiration and guru.
Moving on, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen playing an important role in the film Vettaiyaan, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film, directed by TJ Gnanavel, was an action drama in which Big B played the role of Justice Satyadev.
The film marked the famous actor’s debut in Tamil cinema and saw Big B and Rajinikanth reunite on screen after 33 years. The action film revolves around the investigation of a young woman’s murder and the encounter that follows.
The action entertainer also featured an ensemble cast of actors in pivotal roles, including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini and many others.
