In India Today Conclave 2023, Amit Shah talked about filmsContent and addressed the North vs. South debate. “We should be proud of anyone who gives India an Oscar, and we are proud. But the apparent North-South divide is not really a North-South divide. I watch films with great interest. Many South Indian films are good. I have analyzed this trend very carefully. The films which are about Indian traditions, Indian culture and ‘Indianness’ have all worked and been accepted wholeheartedly.
He emphasized that India is changing and the preferences of the audience are also changing. “India is changing. Any industry which talks about Indian traditions is more welcomed by the audience. Please don’t bring North and South into this,” he said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nana Patekar was last seen in Anil Sharma’s Vanvas.
