Amidst the jail crisis, Nawazuddin Siddiqui again gave financial help to Rajpal Yadav.

Amid allegations on social media that good friend Nawazuddin Siddiqui has not supported good friend Rajpal Yadav in difficult times, a source close to the actor has rubbished the claims.

A reliable source close to Nawaz shared that the actor has always stood by his close friend Rajpal Yadav and even now, has quietly come forward to support him during this crisis. “This is not the first time Nawazuddin has helped him. Earlier too, he had given financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh. Nawazuddin has always preferred to keep such gestures away from the limelight and does not talk about them in public and has chosen to help discreetly.”

Rajpal Yadav has mentioned his love and friendship with Nawazuddin on many occasions. And thus social media called for sacred game Actor for not standing with Rajpal in this dire financial need.

In an earlier interview with The LallantopNawazuddin had told how Rajpal fed every straggler who came to his house. He said, “When Rajpal was getting good work, he used to feed many people. When we were struggling in the industry, he supported us. He never shied away from helping even once. He has helped many struggling actors. His house was like a langar – anyone could come in and eat. He jokes a lot, but in reality, he is a very sensitive person.”

Talking about the case, Rajpal Yadav recently surrendered in Tihar Jail in a decade-old check-bounce case. Actors Sonu Sood and Gurumeet Choudhary publicly appealed for help, while the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) also urged the industry to stand with them on Wednesday. He said that this is not a donation but a call for solidarity.

Earlier, Jamtunes Music owner and music producer Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav had announced that he would pay Rs 1.11 crore to the actor. In a statement given to the news agency IANSRao Inderjit Singh said that Rajpal Yadav has given a lot of joy to the audience over the years and remains an integral part of Indian cinema. He said the gesture was not just financial support but a show of solidarity with a fellow member of the industry. Describing the film fraternity as a family, he said it is important to stand by each other in challenging times.

Politician Tej Pratap Yadav also stepped forward to provide help of Rs 11 lakh to Rajpal Yadav.
