Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on February 17 following a medical emergency. The 90-year-old man was put on a ventilator after minimal brain bleeding. A minor procedure was performed the next day, after which the hospital confirmed that the 90-year-old man was stable and recovering. Amid his treatment, India Today has exclusively learned that his son, actor Salman Khan, has changed the ongoing schedule of his upcoming film battle of galwan From Film City to Mehboob Studio to be closer to the hospital.

According to sources, the actor is currently shooting for an elaborate song sequence, which is expected to be completed in the coming days. The relocation ensured that the shooting proceeded without any disruptions and ran smoothly, while also ensuring that Salman could step away whenever required.

A source close to the development shared, “Salman did not want the schedule to be disrupted, especially with a large crew involved. But it was equally important for his father to be available. Mehboob going to the studio made the balance possible.”

People close to the family say the actor is closely monitoring the developments, coordinating between the hospital and the sets. He is said to be in constant touch with doctors and family members between shots and during breaks.

The source further confirmed that Salim Khan is still under observation and is responding to the treatment.
